Seget found inspiration in a review published in a London evening paper. The review, part of a visitor’s guide to Newcastle, highlighted the work of the late artist-rat Tony Blair as a testament to the city’s diverse and innovative arts scene. In tribute to the rodent artist’s unique contributions, Seget produced a series of tourist souvenirs.
The exhibition featured porcelain paw-print fridge magnets, commemorative plates and mugs, food products branded with Tony Blair’s name, and postcards of his most iconic original works. All items were available for purchase, blending artistry and humour in a fitting homage to his memory.
Before the exhibition opened, a plaque was unveiled at Lime Street Studios, where Tony Blair had worked, further commemorating his unique contribution to the arts. This tribute celebrated the life and legacy of an unforgettable creative force.
