A selling exhibition showcasing new work from the North East’s burgeoning design scene.
This exhibition featured a series of works titled Rebellious Shelves. The collection challenged the conventions of standard, straight, and flat shelving through hand-built designs. Among these were Shelvettes—petite ledges created for displaying tiny items on proportionate, intimate platforms—and Ribbon Shelves, featuring curved and undulating surfaces upon which round objects could nestle. Additionally, the collection included long, shallow shelves and organically shaped single and double corbel shelves.
