Workshops 2011 2010
My Spring 2012 workshops concentrated on how participants can use their own graphics and images on their own original ceramic work.
My Winter workshops looked at ways in which participants could make a range of jewellery items in porcelain from rings & pendants to brooches & badges.
Autumn 2011: I was awarded a Judge's Special Prize at the Mino International Ceramics Festival in Japan for my sustainable 'Torn Notepad'. My piece was among those getting pride of place in the Festival's exhibition over the autumn.

The 'H11' photographic project. The Tyneside Cinema, the last newsreel cinema in Britain, was completely refurbished during late 2006. The red velvet seats, which were removed from the venues iconic Classic Cinema were offered for sale to cinema members. And my photographic project documented the seats in their new homes throughout the North East of England.
To coincide with the publication of the book of the history of the Tyneside Cinema (Summer 2011), selected images from the H11 series (some of which are in the book) are available again for purchase. See examples -- at: my H11 Project page.
Globe Gallery Online Auction - December 2011
One of my photos (part of the Tony Blair Artist Rat project) was be one of the lots in the charity auction to help the Globe Contemporary Art Gallery here in Newcastle. It was all in a good cause; and I hope the auction achieves its aim of keeping the gallery open.
